Termguard Refill – Termite Protection for Your Home
Before refilling your Termguard system, a termite inspection is required. This process includes a chemical top-up or re-fill, following the "check and fill" method, which typically takes about an hour. The refill is conducted in compliance with the Australia Standard AS3660.1 (Termite Management – New Building Work) and AS3660.2 (Termite Management – In and Around Existing Buildings).
Why Termguard Refills Are Essential
A chemical termite barrier is crucial for protecting your home from termite infestations. There are two ways to maintain this barrier:

Both methods work well, but regular maintenance is key to ensuring long-term protection.
Refill Options
You can choose between two chemicals for refilling the orange termite guard pipe system:

Bifenthrin – Regular refills maintain your warranty.

Fipronil – Used only if active termites are found, but it is costly.
Additionally, we offer new termite reticulation system installations, including Term X, Six, and Altis systems.
How Reticulation Systems Work
A termite reticulation system consists of underground plastic pipes with small holes that distribute chemicals into the surrounding soil. Installed around the edge of the concrete slab (just below the brickwork), this system reinforces the termite protection barrier (AS3660.1). The chemical should be replenished every three to ten years to maintain its full effectiveness.
Pre-Construction Termite Protection
Before pouring concrete, our team installs termite collars around pipe penetrations (100mm) and a chemical reticulation system along the perimeter. Once the construction is complete, the system is refilled every three to ten years to ensure a lasting termite barrier.
